THE FRUIT OF REPENTANCE AND THE DANGER OF SIN MANAGEMENT By Dr Mrs Priscilla Otuya

    LISTENING AND OBEDIENCE

I am one who listens when people speak by orientation, by love for people, and by respect for all. When anyone comes in the name of the Lord, I listen. I am open to reasoning, because I know that no one has a monopoly of knowledge.

However, when God speaks and I know that He has spoken, I do not mince words.

This morning, the Spirit of the Living God impressed upon my heart to write, and I do so in obedience to His leading. He reminded me of the fruit of repentance.

    THE FRUIT OF REPENTANCE:

One thing that was evident about the early believers, the followers of The Way, and remains true in our time, is that every genuine believer in God through Christ bears the fruit of repentance. When Christ encounters a person, it becomes evident. It is not hidden. It is not managed. It is made known.

This is why Scripture says, “Bring forth fruits worthy of repentance.” It is like marriage. When you are married, you do not hide it, you make it public. This is my spouse, I am taken. You do not leave others in doubt or give false hope of availability.

In the same way, when the Lord Almighty encounters a person, there is no room for playing with sin.

There is a difference between falling into sin, being chastised, repenting, turning around, and making it right, and managing sin while controlling its public outcome. These are not the same.

    SIN MANAGEMENT AND DAMAGE CONTROL

The Spirit of God is confronting us today with another form of sin that has crept among us, sin management and damage control, practiced in the name of grace. We pat ourselves on the back when we should be openly denouncing sin.

Scripture is clear. “Choose you this day whom you will serve.” If you are a servant of the Living God, it will be evident. You will not leave anyone in doubt about where you stand or whom you belong to.

    GOD’S MARKING AND JUDGMENT

It may interest us to know that in Ezekiel chapter 9, God marked His own for preservation, not because they were influential, connected, or protected by systems, but because they sighed and cried for all the abominations committed in the land.

“And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” (Ezekiel 9:4)

Those who were marked were those who took a clear and public stance against sin. Everyone else, without exception, was judged.

And it is sobering to note that God Himself ordered the execution of those who were not marked, and He gave this fearful instruction: “Begin at My sanctuary.” (Ezekiel 9:6)

Judgment began from the house of God, His very own house.

Transgression is standing when God says flee. It is delayed when heaven demands separation.

According to the Spirit of the Living God, the blood of those who have died through the nefarious activities of modern-day Pharisees is crying out, and God will answer.

The cries of the oppressed, those who came into the camp seeking safety and instead encountered manipulation, silencing, and abuse, are also crying out. And God is answering. There will be no place to hide.

The Lord said He will do things that will make the ears of those who hear tingle, and the hearts of the wicked skip. He declared that Christ Himself is in the midst of His own, fighting for them and protecting them.

This time, not even corrupt systems, religious titles, or institutional coverings will save the guilty.

    PUBLIC ACCOUNTABILITY

Let all who mention the name of the Lord in truth wash their hands openly and publicly. This is not the time for quiet alignments or secret loyalties.

The same headcount and marking described in Ezekiel 9 is ongoing.

    Heaven is still marking.

    Heaven is still separating.

    Heaven is still recording.

Thus saith the Lord, you will soon begin to see My hands move heavily against sin managers and their agents.

    This is not accidental.

    This is not persecution.

This is judgment responding to repentance despised and blood cried out.

    THE LESSON OF PILATE

The Spirit says to ask, why do you think Pilate washed his hands in public?

He did not do it in secret.

He did not do it in a private chamber.

    He did it before witnesses.

“When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person. See ye to it.” (Matthew 27:24)

Find out why, and do the same.

This is not about religious theatrics, it is about public separation from guilt. It is about refusing complicity, it is about making your stance unmistakable in a season when heaven is counting.

Lest you be counted among the transgressors of the covenant. This is not symbolic, and it is not going to be funny.

I say this without fear, even knowing that failure may be involved, no one is exempted. I do not speak as one without fault, or as one claiming perfection. Whatever I declare here applies to me first, because Scripture says that those who speak will receive the greater judgment.

    You do not manage sin.

    You repent from sin.

To manage sin is to trivialize the costly price Christ paid on the cross.

The Lord said, and I quote Him, “As long as My people continue in sin management and damage control, they will keep making a public show of My enemies within the Church.”

THE COST OF TRIVIALIZING THE CROSS

No one can make light of the costly price Christ paid to found the Church on earth and go unaccountable.

The Church was not founded with silver or gold, not with political permission, not with human consensus, but with blood.

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.” (Acts 20:28)

To trivialize that price by managing sin, excusing oppression, merchandising grace, or hiding corruption behind titles is to invite judgment.

“Of how much sorer punishment shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing?” (Hebrews 10:29)

    God does not ignore it.

    He does not overlook it.

He does not negotiate with it.

Judgment begins from the house of God because the Church carries the highest privilege and the highest responsibility.

Christ is not absent from His Church.

He walks in the midst of the lampstands.

    He sees.

    He weighs.

    He judges.

Grace is not permission to desecrate what His blood sanctified. Mercy is not a shield for rebellion, and the systems of men cannot override the justice of God.

The price has been paid once and for all. But those who dishonor that price will pay a price of their own.

This is a call to repentance.

    Not managed repentance.

    Not silent repentance.

But fruit bearing, public, unmistakable repentance.
