ON THE PASSING OF FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR
It is with deep sorrow and solemn respect that we acknowledge the passing of His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
President Buhari served Nigeria, his motherland, both as a military Head of State and later as a democratically elected President. His tenure was marked by a firm stance against corruption, efforts to reform governance, and a consistent call for national unity, security, and development.
In a release statement signed by Benjamin Okoh, the Chief Press Secretary of the National Leader National Coalition of Apostles, Bishops, Archbishops, and Cardinals of Nigeria (Apostolic and Leadership Association Inc.), Cardinal Olusegun Robert said, “as a coalition of spiritual and moral leaders committed to national revival, we recognize the significant role he played in Nigeria’s democratic journey and his unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and dignity of our beloved nation”.
In this moment of national mourning, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, the government and people of Nigeria, and all who are touched by this great loss. We pray that the Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and comfort to those left behind.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy will remain etched in the annals of Nigerian history – a legacy of service, sacrifice, and statesmanship.
