NCPC DFA BOWS OUT OF SERVICE
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) held a send-off ceremony for its outgone Director of Finance and Accounts, Mrs. Lydia Ali, who retired from service on June 1, 2025. The ceremony took place on June 16, 2025, at the NCPC Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

According to a release by Celestine Toruka, the Deputy Director and Head of Media Relation, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, commended Mrs. Ali for her diligence, humility, and expertise in finance and accounts, stating that she has been instrumental in helping the Commission manage its funds properly with her wise advice on financial issues. He praised her for setting a good example for the staff in her department.
The Director of Administration, Barr. Sonny Ebiyaibo, described Mrs. Ali as a committed and disciplined officer who integrated well into the Commission’s work, enhancing efficiency and productivity. “It is sad to let you go, but you have to go,” he added.

Some of the Directors and staff who spoke at the event commended Mrs. Ali for her invaluable contributions to the growth of the Commission within her stint. They acknowledged her as a good team player and a professional Accountant.
In her response, Mrs. Ali expressed gratitude to God for the grace to retire from service and appreciated Bishop Adegbite’s leadership, describing him as an excellent leader with uncommon capacity. “Working with him was peaceful,” she said.

The Commission acknowledged Mrs. Ali’s contributions, stating they would miss her but wished her well in retirement.
