LULI CONCERT -The Crowd, The Performance and the Success

The LULI Concert was part of the 70 years anniversary celebration was impressive and remains indelible. Members of the Celestial Church of Christ in Nigeria with some foreign guests had a swell time. Formidable efforts of the organisers with performance of choristers from different state in Nigeria and abroad, orchestra, guest artistes at the well attended concert held at National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos were noticed and appreciated.
Gospel music lovers from all walks of life including non-members of the church gathered to fed their souls and refresh their spiritual mind in an atmosphere of fellowship and oneness. The Concert which was the second edition brought members of the Celestial church of Christ together, closing the rank of division. It was an unusual moment and experience with the turn out exceeded the organizer’s expectation. The crowd was large with every space at the venue, including thr stadium staircase and adjacent space were filled up.
One of the high point of the concert was honouring the Music director of CCC Worldwide, Dr. Wole Adediran, who also clocked 70 years and have been the music head of the church for 47 years with Life Time Achievement Award and presentation of N200,000 cheque. In his selfless service to the church he has trained, led and coordinate the church mass choir and discovered many talents that are successful and household name in Nigeria music industry, including known Shola Allison. Other anonymous donor also announced their financial reward for the respected.
Worthy of note is the performance of Kenny Kore who sang the popular “Olori Oko mbowa” and the duet performance of Akin Adebayo and Remi Olabanji turned out to be one of the finest moments at the concert.
The concert showcases different musical creativity, dexterity and talents that abound in the church youths.
Among the church choir group and solo artistes that performed creditably at the concert includes, Alfa Nda parish, Atunbi parish, Ibara parish and Port Harcourt parish with Kent Edunjobi, Bode Zannu, Seyi Solagbade and others.
The climax of the successful concert was pastoral proclamation by the Spiritual head and Pastor of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Rev. EMF Oshoffa who was present all through the event that lasted till 6am from 8pm of previous night.
Subsequent edition of the concert is expected to break barriers of segregation and foist unity in the largest white garment church in the world.
