Mummy Okeke made this known to Providence News during the Judah Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Women’s Convention in Nigeria, themed; “She said Yes”, held at Surulere, Lagos. She said, When God calls, a woman responds with obedience, as she would submit to her husband, recognizing that every relationship carries responsibilities.

She stressed that a submissive and respectful wife allows her husband to provide the liberty to pursue spiritual and personal endeavors, provided she maintains dignity and respect towards him. “Some women don’t have time for their husbands and children at home but devotes time for frivolities outside”, she said.

Mother Okeke highlighted the importance of prioritizing family and spiritual growth, noting that indiscipline is discouraged within COGIC, as nurturing children in the ways of the Lord and caring for one’s husband are considered vital callings. A woman’s domestic responsibilities must take precedence, as one’s home life reflects their character and commitment to faith.

Criticizing pastors who promote false doctrines that undermine marital harmony, Mother Okeke advised women to handle marital issues with prayer and discretion, fostering a godly and peaceful home environment through virtuous behavior.

She urged women who says “yes” to build, manage and sustain a godly and happy home to be intercessors, dedicating time to prayer rather than gossip, and to play a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s moral fabric. “By embracing their roles as mothers and prayer warriors, women contribute positively to building and influencing a better society”, Okeke stated.

Mother Okeke also emphasized the importance of treating husbands with honor and respect, regardless of their temporary circumstances, as this reflects a woman’s understanding of her role in God’s plan and this virtuous behaviour not only brings honour to the home but also sets a good precedent for the children as a standing mirror.

Condemning the rising cases of domestic violence, divorce, and immorality with systemic prostitution, where marriage vows are no longer sacred and married women committing adultery with married men, Mother Okeke called on women to uphold moral integrity and avoid actions that could destabilize homes, such as encouraging excessive spending, negative speech, or involving outsiders in marital issues
