Reveals:

“How God Dealt With Me To Serve Him”

Nigeria’s leading female talking drummer, Aralola Olumuyiwa a.k.a Ara has revealed how everything went bad for her shortly after gaining fame.

According to a report, the female drummer claimed this happened years after a family friend told her about a dream he had about her.

Ara admitted that when things were no longer going her way, she retorted wrestling with God and talked about spending over a year in a single hotel room.

She narrated, when the situation became unbearable, how once she cried out to God and asked Him what He really wanted her to do, that was when things started to get better.

According to Ara, “In 1999, while still in my parent’s house at Ajao estate, a photographer to a family friend who was very close to us came to my house one afternoon, he lived in Mafoluku. I was sleeping, but my mother asked them to wake me, that photo wanted to see me”.

He is from Bayelsa State. I came out to see him, and he said, “Lola, this afternoon, I dey dream o. I dream and I see you. God bring your picture come do am like this for my face, say go and look for My daughter, tell her to serve Me, to seek Me for everything she wants, I will give her. If she does not serve Me, if she does not seek Me, she will see paper and call it money on the floor. I thought it was a joke, but this revelation actually became real and happened to me.

All of a sudden everything stopped working for me. People that would call for shows all of a sudden, stopped calling. Shows that I get paid for N3m is what people would be pricing for N100,000.

To cut the long story short, I became homeless, I couldn’t afford to feed, couldn’t pay my child’s school fees, I sold my cars, sold my hummer jeep, Hilux, things started going bad. It got to a stage, I admitted, this must be the hand of God.

Many things went wrong. I went for prayers and I was told that nobody is fighting me, that this is God. Listen to Him. He wants to use you for something but you are not listening to Him. I said okay but you know we are stubborn. I started struggling with God, and I suffered the most.

In 2019, for almost one year, I lived in one room at a hotel. The day I cried like the prodigal son and said, “God this is me, whatever You want to do with me go ahead. You made me and moulded me, please, forgive me, I have come back to You, use me for your glory”.

I asked Him, What do You want me to do?

When things started happening to me, and I went through the process of hero to zero, I remembered the dream.

Meanwhile, I have dumped this project I am working on. I went back to God to say, the people that would help me is You. It is not how talented, connected or popular I am now, it is all about You. If this is your will, God, bring the people to help me.

The day I got a call from the governor, I almost fell inside the gutter. I said, “this is God’s hand”.

The day I received the endorsement letter last December 22, I was going home to share the testimony with my younger brother. I got home, opened the envelope, the letter was no longer there. It disappeared.

Till date, I don’t know where and how it disappeared and I didn’t go elsewhere. I called the ministry to ask if I forgot it in their office, they said no. Because, I folded and kept it. We searched thoroughly everywhere for it, but we couldn’t find it.

Meanwhile, I told the Director General (DG) that it took almost 10 years to get the endorsement letter from the Lagos state government. He asked why, I told him, it was spiritual he cannot understand.

When I didn’t find the letter I called him and said sir, I can’t find the letter. He said that is the only original copy they did and they only have photocopies.

I told him not to worry that I would work with it, that he should please give it to me. But before 11pm that day, he called me. Already, I had prayed and said, God if it is of You, You should do something again.

By the time he called before 11pm, he said, they were able to get the honourable commissioner to sign another original and I got the new original letter back.

“Today the honourable commissioner has been supportive of the project. I had not meet him one on one until few weeks ago in his office.”
