NCPC BOSS, BISHOP ADEGBITE, FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS AT CHRISTMAS
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, extends warm felicitations to Christians worldwide on the occasion of Christmas.
In a statement by Celestine Toruka, the Deputy Director and Head of Media Relations, Bishop Adegbite, in his Christmas message, urged Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ, who, despite His divinity, came to liberate humanity. “Jesus Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem to exalt the poor and demystify pride and arrogance,” he said, and called on Christians to embrace humility and shun acts that distance them from God.
The NCPC boss urged Christians to use Christmas as an opportunity to show love and extend fellowship to people of other faiths, emphasising that the season is about “grace, joy, love, and peace.”
He also called for prayers for President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for God’s guidance.
While wishing Christians a hitch-free Christmas and a prosperous New Year, Bishop Adegbite expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its current challenges and become a force to be reckoned with in the world, noting that “prayer remains the sustaining grace of Nigeria,” he said.
