YOUR THOUGHT BECOMES YOUR WORTH – meditate it! manifest it! By Segun ‘Tremendous’ Oshinaga

Whatever you do not want to see in your life, don’t allow it in your thoughts. If you allow it to linger in your thoughts, it is just a matter of time before it shows up in your life.

“Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, so that your progress may be evident to all.” I Timothy 4:15

Meditation is such a powerful baking of destiny process. The more we meditate on God’s word and His promises, the nearer they get.

“Meditate on these things;” think about them. Fill the mind and thoughts on them.

“Give yourself entirely to them.”

Surrender your thought processes to it. Let it fill your mind, thoughts and every other faculty. I like the word, entirely. Completely! In other words, be consumed by what is the object of your meditation.

The Message Bible says: “Immerse yourself in them.”

The Amplified Bible says: “be absorbed in them [completely occupied in your ministry],

Contemporary English Version says: …throw yourself into it;

Women reading the Holy Bible.

We get the impression from all these Scriptures that meditation is not a half hearted, sometimes on, sometimes off assignment but a full time, all consuming passion that seizes the entire mind.

In Psalms 77, Asaph uses three verbs that capture the essence of meditation. He says in verses 11 and 12: I will remember the deeds of the LORD; Yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, And meditate on your mighty deeds”

Asaph uses 3 verbs in the Hebrew to describe what it means to lay hold of truth: He says: I will remember, I will ponder, and I will meditate.

He begins with remembering (zakar) -calling to mind “the deeds of the Lord” and His “wonders of old.” He intentionally takes note of truth and draws it back into his thinking. Asaph reflects on what God has accomplished for His people in the past -events and epics like the Exodus and Passover, the giving of the law on Mount Sinai, the conquest of the Promised Land. He makes an effort not to forget all the Lord has done.
