Man is a multidimensional being, Body, Spirit and Soul. The soul is the dwelling place of God’s created spirit.
The soul is made in the image of God and will continue living after this earthly life. Jesus said the soul is worth more than the whole world put together.
In Matthew 16:26, For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
How we live on this earth will determine our eternal state. Whatever we accumulate or gain on earth has no value or it can not purchase our eternal life.
Our position, higher earning and honour can not give us entrance into heaven. Everyone’s life will be reviewed and evaluated, both the believers and the unbelievers and we will all face the judgement seat of God at the end of our stay here. 
Christian’s eternal destiny is ensured, but for their reward, Jesus will look into how they handle their gifts, opportunities and responsibilities to determine their heavenly reward.
Jesus has been given the authority to judge all, although His judgement is already working in our lives. There’s a future final judgement when Christ returns, then everyone’s life will be reviewed and evaluated.
At this time of judgement, God will deliver the righteous and condemn the wicked.
Guide your soul because this world of pleasure is centered on Possession, Position and Power which is worthless and temporal. It is not worth an exchange for your soul.
Make the pursuit of God more important than the selfish pursuit of pleasure.
What is the value of my soul?
Jesus was hung, despised, rejected, pierced and scorned so that we might receive what we do not deserve, that he might freely give it to us.
The reason for His death on the cross is to give himself for the soul of man and woman.
The soul is the most valuable thing a person or man will ever possess. There is nothing that one gives up that is worth more than one’s soul.
Whatever a man cannot give up or lay aside to serve God is in effect what the person has threaded for exchange of his or her soul.
Adam and Eve threaded their soul for a fruit and that was the fall of man.
God is the source of life, Genesis 2: 7 – 9:
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.”
