The African Church Nigeria & Overseas to Consecrates Jeremiah Okunlola as Archbishop
The African Church Nigeria, a prominent and leading church in Nigeria, will install Most Rev. Jeremiah Tunji Okunlola as Archbishop of the African Church Nigeria and Overseas on June 7, 2026, at its national headquarters, The Arch Cathedral Bethel, Broad Street, Lagos. The ceremony will be performed by His Eminence Julius Olayinka Osayande Abbe.
As Archbishop, Most Rev. Okunlola will oversee specific groups of dioceses within a province, manage provincial affairs, consecrate bishops, and supervise diocesan bishops within his jurisdiction.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Okunlola is a prolific writer, author, and conference speaker. As a dedicated and committed Church leader, he currently serves as Diocesan Bishop of The African Church, Solution Camp, Abeokuta, also, the Chairman of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) South West Zone, and a Member of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (MCASSON),
He holds educational qualifications from Kwara State College of Education, Oro, the University of Ado Ekiti, and Tai Solarin University of Education, Ogun State, where he earned his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Counselling and Education Psychology.

The Osun State born cleric was ordained a Priest of The African Church in 1998, elevated to Archdeacon in 2008 and consecrated Bishop in 2018, serving as Director of Mission, Church Planting, and Evangelism.
Through his evangelical service to The African Church, and contributions to the body of Christ, Rt. Rev. Dr. Okunlola has received numerous awards, including The Primatal Award, the highest merit award in The African Church.

He is married to his wife, Grace Olubunmi Okunlola, and they have wonderful children as heritage, gift, and glory of God.
