SEVEN UNIQUE QUALITIES OF THE BIBLE By Success Kanayo Uchime

The Bible, also known as the Word of God, is the book of life. It’s the revelation and inspired word of God. It’s dynamic; it has a transforming power. Here, therefore, are the seven unique qualities of the Bible:

(1) IT FURNISHES A LIGHT

In the midst of darkness. It illuminates the heart of believing Christians: “The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes” (Psalm 19:8), “Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

(2) LOVED BY THE SAINTS

It’s cherished by saints down the generations: “And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love” (Psalm 119:47), “And Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16).

(3) POWERFUL IN ITS INFLUENCE

The Bible has turned to become a great influence to many lives; it shapes lives of people: “Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: Because you speak this word,

Behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire, And this people wood, And it shall devour them” (Jeremiah 5:14).

(4) PRECEPTS WRITTEN IN THE HEART

The Bible sticks more in the heart of people who read it; it changes the heart of people who encounter it: “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart” (Deuteronomy 6:6), “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You” (Psalm 119:11).

(5) DIVINELY INSPIRED

The Bible is the inspire work of God; it’s the work of the Holy Spirit: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16), “For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”

(2 Peter 1:21).

(6) FOOD FOR THE SOUL

As food is to the body, so is the Word of God to human beings: “How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm 119:103), “I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth

More than my necessary food” (Job 23:12).

(7) THE BOOK OF THE AGES

The Bible doesn’t get stale; neither does it expire. It’s always active and portent: “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8),  “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Matthew 24:35).

So, start today to cherish and desire the Bible. Make it your sure foundation in any matter of faith. Make it your pillar in everything you do in life, then your life will be sustained, and  experience a turn around in Jesus name.
