PFN Marks 40 Anniversary, Lighten Up Abuja with 18th Biennial Conference
The leadership and delegate members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) across the country are currently meeting in Abuja for a 5-day 18th Biennial Conference and celebration of the Fellowship’s 40th anniversary which commenced on Monday 10 February 2025 with their 1st National Colloquium, theme, “The Rebirth of a Great Nation” held at Yar’Adua Conference Center, Abuja.
According to information available to Providence News, the 4-day Biennial Conference will be held inside the 100,000-seater Glory Dome of Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Airport Road, Abuja pastored by Pastor Paul Enenche.
The PFN National Advisory Council (NAC) Summit presided by the PFN National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke was held on Tuesday 11 February 2025 and, the conference continued with morning and evening sessions of the General Assembly on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 February 2025 respectively. The conference will be finally closed with a Rally tagged, “The Nigeria Passover Night” on Friday 14 February 2025.
PFN, founded in 1985, is a body of all Pentecostal churches and Christians in Nigeria. It is one of the five blocs of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the umbrella body of all Christian denominations in Nigeria.
Other blocs of CAN include the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), the Evangelical Church Winning All/ Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria, and Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN).
Prominent Nigerian Pentecostal Christian leaders led by the PFN President, Bishop Wale Oke have been listed as speakers and ministers during the conference. There will also be different sessions for seminars, workshops and networking.
Among the listed speakers and guest ministers are Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Bible Church; Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa of Church of God Mission (CGM), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of Word of Life Bible Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, the presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel and Dr Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of MFM.
Others include Rev. Sam Aboyeji of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Rev. Uma Ukpai, Rev. Felix Omobude, Archbishop John-Praise Daniel, Rev. Mrs Mercy Ezekiel of the CPM, Archbishop Joseph Ojo, Archbishop John Osa-Oni, Rev. Cosmas Ilechukwu, Rev Elijah Abina, Archbishop Eric Emiaso, and Pastor David Ibiyomie with Pastor Paul Enenche.
Also listed are Rev Victor Ogunkanmi, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, Apostle Isa El-Buba, Bishop Paul Nwachukwu, Pastor Wale Adefarasin, Bishop Simeon Okah, Pastor Poju Oyemade, Dr William Okoye of All Christians Fellowship Mission, and Rev. Dr. Tunde Joda.
The conference will feature renowned gospel singers and worship leaders, Nathaniel Bassey, Dusin Oyekan, Solomon Lange and Prospa Ochimana.
PFN Past President:
In its 40 years of existence, PFN as a national body of Pentecostal churches and ministers has successively been led by seven presidents including, the pioneer president, Rev. James Boyejo of the FourSquare Gospel Church (1985-1992), Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (1992-1995), Archbishop Benson Idahosa of the Church of God Mission (1995-1998), and Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (1998-2005).
Others are Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor of Word of Life Bible Church (2005-2013), Rev. Dr Felix Omobude of New Covenant Gospel Church (2013-2021), and the current Bishop Wale Oke of Sword of the Spirit Church, (2021- date).
