Ondo Guber: Eyitayo Jegede Wins PDP Ticket, Sets Battle of SANs With Rotimi Akeredolu
Eyitayo Jegede, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has emerged as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the October 10 governorship poll in Ondo State.
He polled 888 to beat seven other contestants including the state Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.
Mr. Jegede was the PDP candidate in the 2016 Governorship election.
Voting started around 2pm on Tuesday and ended around 8pm
With this development, Jegede will now face Governor Rotimi Akeredolu at the poll.
This will be a repeat of the 2016 battle.
Political pundits have described the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election as the battle of two SANs.
