No Government Fixes Life, You Fix Life With God’s Word – Archbishop John Osa-Oni
The presiding archbishop of Vineyard Christian Ministries, Isolo, Lagos, Archbishop John Adebayo Osa-Oni, has called on Nigerians to learn to speak the right thing with the right word. He said, You are what you speak, and what you hear. What you are hearing will define your destination.
Archbishop Osa-Oni spoke on Wednesday, 3/12/2025, on the first day of the ongoing church annual Word Conference, held at the church auditorium in Lagos.
He said, “Better days are ahead, because God’s word and promises are attainable every time, assuring that Nigeria is going to get better, “but we must believe in ourselves and the word of God to see a better Nigeria”, he stated.
Admonishing Nigerians, Osa-Oni said, No government can fix your life; you are to fix your life with the word of God, and develop faith in yourself. There’s hope for the living, when you have faith in God’s word, the government will look for you because it is not by accident that God brought you to this land, Nigeria, it is going to be a beautiful place”.
He clarified that, for years, he has not stopped speaking positively about Nigeria, and it’s better now than before.
Speaking at the conference that ends on Sunday, 7/12/2025, with thanksgiving, Archbishop Osa-Oni said, “The central focus of the Word Conference 2025 is to bring restoration to Nigerians at this moment, help people navigate the mind of God, and teach them to speak the right thing.” “The word navigates and transforms the earth, and the more you hear the word, the more you become alive because the word transforms, changes, and refocuses the mind. When you speak the right word, you will see manifestation of the right things”, he said.
“People would see their lives change for the better when they come to the knowledge and power of God’s word that transforms. They will move from one level to the next by hearing the Word, knowing that the effect of God’s Word is transformation, and it is going to transform lives the same way it transformed my life from 1972 till date”, he added.
Testifying of people who have been blessed, and seen to have gotten healed as a result of hearing the Word and the Word healed them without laying of hands on them, he assured, “I believe, God’s Word is wonderful and glorious, capable of delivering, to transform, to heal, and to fix anything”.
Archbishop Osa-Oni prophetically charged Nigerians to refrain from speaking negatively or ill of the country. “Don’t speak negatively, speak positive, don’t speak evil, but speak good about Nigeria”, he pleaded.
“There’s greatness in Nigeria, and Nigeria will be great again. Let us be hopeful and not lose hope. Remain steadfast, be strong, and be bold. Be confident and stay focused, you will see the great thing God will do in Nigeria”, he said.
