NCPC Boss, Bishop Adegbite Meets Nigerian Ambassador to Jordan …seek support, collaboration

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite has visited the Nigerian House in Amman, Jordan on Tuesday, 16th April, 2024 where he paid a courtesy call on the Nigerian Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,  Amb Kamfut Umaru.

Bishop Adegbite informed the Ambassador that he was visiting the Embassy for the first time in his capacity as the fourth substantive Executive Secretary of NCPC.

He commended the Ambassador for the laudable role the Embassy played in the past to ensure that the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims who visited Jordan had a wonderful Pilgrimage experience in the holy land.

He hinted that the Commission has declared this year a year of Renewed Hope and Satisfaction and would ensure that everyone that works with NCPC  is satisfied with our services and have confidence in what we do as a Commission.

He recalled that since the Commission introduced Christian Pilgrimage to Jordan in 2021 as a Pilgrimage destination, it  has become an integral part of the Commission’s Pilgrimage route.

He emphasized that the Commission under his leadership would continue to leverage on the expertise of the Embassy staff in the smooth coordination of our pilgrimage operations in Jordan.

He affirmed that Jordan as a Pilgrimage destination covers the activities of  our Fathers in Faith; the old testament biblical experience without which our Pilgrimage circle would not be complete.

He sought for a renewed collaboration between the Commission and the Embassy, especially in view of the fact that the next pilgrimage exercise of the Commission would likely commence by the end of next month.

In his remark, Ambassador Umaru thanked the Executive Secretary for his visit and pledged his unwavering support for the Commission.

He assured that the Embassy would continue to do everything diplomatically possible to advance the cause of Christian Pilgrimage in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He congratulated the NCPC boss for his well deserved appointment by the President of Nigeria and wished him well in his Pilgrimage assignment.
