MICAIAH THE SON OF IMLAH By Segun Tewogbola
“And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace. And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.” – 1 Kings 22:8/27 – 28 (KJV)
Friends, I don’t know if some of you have experience this narrative:
Many times, my wife and I have met some believers going on what they called ‘evangelism’ (although they were only marketing their church and founder in flyers that has no mention of Jesus or Salvation in it).
The moment they asked us to join them, my wife will thankfully tell them we are Pastors. Yet these believers will most times say, yes you can just come one Sunday and fellowship with us!
The moment my wife (sometimes) asks if their Papa can fellowship with us too on one Sunday, these believers take offense, and they will walk away with their marketing flyers.
Some days ago, a man walked up to me and wanted to give me a daily devotions, and I told him that I am a ‘Pastor’, but he insisted that I can fellowship with them, and also I can read the devotional booklet, of which I told him that I don’t read such besides my Bible, and that I am having a ministration on Sunday, I need to concentrate on the Word that I am to teach.
I am sharing this maybe some of our brethren will learn to respect other people’s calling and stop inviting a called Pastor who has flocks that God entrusted to his care, to abandon the flocks or committed believer in another church to come to your Dome to pay homage to your high – sounding Bishop or Papa.
Secondly, I am using this article to announce to you that God has kept many MICAIAH, the sons of IMLAH in His secret place, with no unnecessary exposure to the pleasures of the Palace which your Papas are enjoying right now (like the 400 prophets of Ahab).
Things cannot continue this way, especially in Nigeria where we have large churches and powerful men and women of God, yet the country is nose-diving everyday on every area of life. Surely God must do something about this situation.
Despite the fire that was associated with Elijah’s ministry, he could not finish the evils that Ahab represented. God had earlier informed Elijah that he has 7000 reserved and hidden servants in the house.
MICAIAH was never invited by the brethren to attend Elijah’s campaigns, he was devouted to his calling, and devoured by the calling. That was why he was able to see the great Council of God in session.
The Micaiahs are coming, they have no regard for your private jets and your domes of confusion means nothing to this company of sons. These ones only follow the Lamb wherever He goes.
The sound we are hearing from the trumpet is not for war, it’s for a change of guards!
Wake up O slumbers.
