Lagos Apostolic Conference 2026 Calls Church Back to ‘Sent’ Christianity at a 2-day conference of Church leaders theme: “Reigniting the Fire of Apostolic Christianity”
The maiden edition of the Lagos Apostolic Conference 2026, organised by the International Network of Apostolic Christianity (INAC), held on 8–9 April 2026, ended with a mandate: the healing of the Church through a return to Apostolic Christianity.

The two days conference that had in attendance and participation gospel ministers, church leaders, and believers from across the region, featured five key speakers on the theme, “Reigniting the Fire of Apostolic Christianity”.
Pastor Leke Akinola, President of Leave to Cleave Ministries and Director of the International Network of Apostolic Voices (INAV), in his opening remark, said the conference was designed to move beyond terminology into true scriptural substance and alignment.
In his keynote address, Apostle Tonye Oliver, the INAV Int’l Director, emphasized the Apostolic Christianity from John 20:21: “As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” He stated that, the term “apostolic”, comes from the Greek apostolos, meaning “sent one” – a messenger commissioned to represent the values, culture, mandate, and authority of the Sender.

“The Apostolos cannot speak for himself or act on his own account,” Oliver said.
“His assignment is singular: to represent the One who sent him. This is the pattern Jesus modeled, and the pattern He commanded the Church to replicate. Our departure from this ideal is at the root of the Church’s present weakness”, he added.
The first day of the conference featured sessions by Rev. Stella Jack and Dr. Eleazar Ulinfun, both of who elaborated the theme with in-depth theological and practical application for the local church.

Day two continued with presentations from Apostle Joshua Olaoye, Rev. Stella Jack, and Apostle Greg Atiyota, with each speaker presented distinct emphasis, which participants noted as a consistent divine thread through every session.
The organizers described the conference as “more than a meeting – it was a rallying cry for those believing God for revival in Nigerian Christianity.”
