IMPRISONED AT BIRTH! By Segun Tewogbola

What other dungeon is as dark and as strong as the mind? In the dungeon of their minds, men will buy and drink a poison if the poison is well advertised!

Our fathers and mothers voluntarily sold themselves into religion, and they gave up their minds for religious spirit to direct and dictate their pace in life – all of our wonderful religious parents did!

Many of us were given birth religiously into religion, at birth we were imprisoned by religion with our minds formatted by doctrines of our church, and the traditions of men. We soon became castes of our religiously disciplined parents.

As we suffered silently, we began to see life as religion wanted us to see it. The shackles of religion were eaten deep into our passion in life, but we must pretend and sing aloud that IT IS WELL.

Is Jesus part of these hypocrisy and pretense? No! While many are grown ups now, they are yet to be liberated from the prison called religion – the place of their birth!

When a man is strict and harsh on himself, he might have been imprisoned at birth, and yet to find freedom. This is one of the reasons Jesus Christ came – to set the captives free!

‘Let it be clear that the Anointed One has set us free—not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.’ – (Galatians 5:1)

I would love you to embrace the freedom Christ Jesus brought to you, and do all you can not to return back to the prison called religion.

Although most of us were imprisoned at birth, we have found freedom in Christ Jesus – the snare is broken and our soul has escaped! Our minds are being renewed, and our lives are being refreshed everyday.

Jesus has broken the gates of brass of religion, and He has cut asunder the bars of iron of traditions of men. This is true freedom!

Apostle Paul nearly shed tears for the Galatians, who were like you in confusion, not knowing what to do with the freedom Christ brought for them – they looked back, and they cherished their chains and shackles of religion.

‘But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.’ – (Galatians 4:9-11).

You need to free yourself from yourself. For God truly took Israel out from Egypt, but Israel refused to let Egypt go out of their Selves. Israel craved bitterly for Egypt, until they were destroyed in the wilderness.

Although you were imprisoned at birth, Jesus has delivered you at last – Praise God forever!
