Christ is Risen!

By Babatunde Olugboji

Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, crucified on the cross and died for us. He died so we may live. And on the third day He rose from the dead that we will also rise again with Him unto eternal life and forever be with our Lord and Savior. Glory to our father in heaven!

The world below lies desolate. Christ is risen. The spirits of evil are fallen. Christ is risen: The angels of God are rejoicing. Christ is risen: The tombs of the dead are empty. Christ is risen indeed from the dead. Glory and power are his, for ever and ever!

Lord, we lift our hearts to you this week. As the month progresses, may we carry the unity we share into every moment knowing that we are one with the risen Christ.

Lord, we lift our eyes to you, because you are the source of our joy. As the times go by, may the moment of Easter stay with us, reminding us to look for the beautiful colors of promise in your word.

Lord, we lift our prayers to you this week. Make us even more aware that you are our sustenance, and our sufficiency. We are your offspring, for in you we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

We celebrate the greatest day in history, when Jesus rose from death, defeated darkness, and bathed the world in stunning resurrection light. May we ever live to praise you!

Lord Jesus Christ, by your resurrection, you broke the bonds of death and rose from the grave as a conqueror. You reconciled heaven and earth. Our life had no hope of eternal happiness before you redeemed us. We are now the redeemed of the Lord and we are proud this week to declare that you indeed redeemed us from the hand of the foe (Psalm 107:2).

Your resurrection has washed away our sins, restored our innocence, and brought us joy. How great is your love!

The veil of darkness transformed to the brightest light. The most dreadful end became the most beautiful beginning. The depths of despair gave way to everlasting hope. The curse of death defeated by eternal life.

No matter the verbal or other forms of crucifixion you have suffered, you too shall rise with Christ. The power of His resurrection shall penetrate every tomb encasing your life and break you free. This power will uproot and restore your buried glory in Jesus’ name.

This week, God will perfect all that concerns you.
He will grant you every good desire of your heart.
Divine blessings and everlasting joy will come your way this month.
Every longstanding sickness will disappear, you shall find favor and nothing good shall God withhold from you.
Every good door you knock shall be opened for you. Your long-awaited testimonies shall manifest.

We praise you in this Easter season our father and our God.
May we realize afresh this week what your death and resurrection mean for us: forgiveness, freedom, and the ability to walk with you through this fallen world into eternity.
May we always find satisfaction in you and your willingness to offer yourself to us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Have a great week!
