Welcome to an incredible year. A year of repeated giant leaps. Dare to believe God for the incredible; awesome, magnificent dreams and visions. There is something about this year of the Lord’s favour and mercy that will totally transform your journey and life.
The failures and limitations, struggles and frustrations of 2024 are ended. Welcome to a new and amazing realm of possibilities and victory.
To be truthful, it’s not really about the year; it’s about YOU! Yes you! Your mindset and psychology as you enter 2025 is the most fundamental asset you can have. It can be a liability or an asset. I dare you to shrug off what didn’t work in the past years; who didn’t like you; things that worked against you and everyone and everything that reminds you of the tragedy of the past.
There are three levels to doing exploits:
1. STRATEGIC THINKING
“Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’? Everything is possible for the one who believes.” (Mark 9:23 (CSB))
No civilization or society can live above its collective thought. An empowered mind builds an empowered life. A life, any life will ALWAYS correspond in the open to what the thought on the inside is. More often than not, the profundity of a man’s mind becomes the abundance in that life. You can’t be a GIANT in your mind and be a MIDGET in real life. A midget in thought and mind cannot but be a midget in real life even if he has the features and structure of a giant.
2. STRATEGIC PLANNING
Several years ago, I said “In the absence of STRATEGY, TRAGEDY is inevitable. “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” (Proverbs 15:22)
Strategic planning is a process that helps you focus on aligning the unique gifts and resources that God has given you to take advantage of your opportunities.
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.” (Ephesians 5:15–16)
In one of my books, SUCCESS STRATEGIES, Volume 2: OPPORTUNITIES ARE EVERYWHERE EVERYDAY. A winner must be opportunity minded. Planning is necessary to make the best of opportunities. Strategic planning helps us to maximize our opportunities. “Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance.” (Proverbs 20:18)
BUILD A TEAM
It’s my conviction that to fulfill your God given dream/vision, you need to build a team. Every DRIVE needs a TEAM. Nobody can singular handedly build a dream or accomplish anything of significance.
Let me use two institutions as examples: the armed forces and businesses.
The Armed Forces has branches like Army Navy, Air Force, and Marines. The Army has several units like the Infantry, Artillery, mechanized etc. Businesses also have several divisions like Production, marketing, advertising, quality control and more. It’s the seamless working together of all these units that give them the capacity to win. If you are going to win, you must build a team of varying gifts, talents and experts that can help you win.
David had in his corner men and women of diverse capacities who delivered to throne of Israel to him. The men of Issachar in 1 Chronicles had a place in David’s army on account of being men “who understood the times and knew what Israel should do” (1 Chronicles 12:32). Issachar contributes just 200 men out of a total force of 336,000, yet those men made a unique contribution.
All of the others are described as brave warriors, armed for battle, experienced soldiers or “armed with every type of weapon,” yet it is clear that the men of Issachar bring knowledge and insight that more than makes up for their lack of fighting force.
