CAN, Lagos Island East Reaches Out to It’s Community
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos Island East chapter organised free community health outreach held at the popular Lewis Street, by St Michael Catholic Church, Lagos Island with the theme, “Caring for the body, Strengthening the spirit”.

The outreach recorded over 400 participants and turned out of large numbers of residents who benefited as recipients of the free medical services.

Among the free medical services rendered during the outreach are; full medical consultation, blood pressure check, blood sugar levels check, distribution of free eye glasses, body massage, free medication, prayers and counseling.

Dignitaries who witnessed the free medical outreach includes Hon. Olakunle Williams (The Lagos Island East LCDA Council Leader, and Chairman Lagos State Councillors Forum), Ms Bosede Rufus (Health Education Officer, representing the M.O.H), Pastor (Mrs) Deborah Rufai (S.A to the Executive Chairman, Lagos Island East), members of the Executive, CAN Lagos Island East, Lafiaji CDA Leaders, also the immediate CAN Chairman for Lagos Island East Bishop-Elect Dr. J.B. Osin J.P and his wife.

Apostle Dr. Daniel Olalekan Odejimi, Chairman CAN, Lagos Island East in his remark, described the experience as an expression of God’s love in a practical way, with the goal of contributing to the community development and spiritual well being of the people.

He admonished the residents and beneficiaries to draw closer to God for their spiritual well being which is also necessary to consolidate their physical, mental and emotional well being.
