333 is God’s Number By Babatunde Olugboji

We don’t always see what God is doing behind the scenes in our lives. But He calls us to trust Him and to wait expectantly for Him to tell us the most amazing and mighty things that we don’t yet know or even comprehend.

For God to be able to work well in our lives, we need to have clean hearts. You may not be as rebellious as the people of Israel were during the time of Jeremiah but if you ask God to reveal to you what sins need to be confessed, do it and then enjoy a sweet time in the presence of God.

This week, the God of the universe has given instructions for you to call Him. He is patiently waiting for your call. He is expecting you to call at any time of the day. He will answer you, but you need to listen to His instruction, and it may not exactly be what you expected. Stay in His presence and listen for His direction. God’s solutions to our problems are way better than ones that we could have found using just our own wisdom.

God’s ways are higher than our ways. When you come prayerfully into His presence, He promises to show us what can be described as “fenced-in” and hidden things. So, be excited and expectant of what God will teach you. We never stop learning or discovering new things about our Father in heaven.

This week, with the inspiration of Jeremiah 33:3, we will pray thus:

Compassionate Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name I come to You to thank You that just like in Jeremiah’s day of problems, including being in prison. I receive strength, even in my troubles, to do what You instructed Jeremiah to do in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Remind me always in challenging situations to call on You for help.

Just like You assured Jeremiah that You will answer, I am fully persuaded of Your assurance to answer me if I will start by asking You for help and support. Direct me, when asking, to acknowledge that You alone are God and are unlimited in everything, that in my own strength nothing will be accomplished.

It is a massive privilege that You, the Creator of the universe, want to hear from me and promise to answer me. It is a blessing to know that you, all wise God, will show me great and mighty things, most of which I have probably not heard about.

For me to experience Your blessing embedded in Jeremiah 33:3, direct me to realize that it is incumbent on me to be obedient to whatever You show me needs to be done, even if sometimes it might not be pleasant.

Show me how to fully trust in Your sovereignty and acknowledge that You have all the attributes to accomplish all that You want and that my own understanding is not needed. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Thank You for all the benefits You want to and will provide for me simply by me calling unto You. Amen.

    Have a great week.
