“To demonstrate our total commitment towards these communities, a minimum of five different projects were lined out b for execution. It means, for the next five years, the company is expected to execute a project across these host communities per annum for the next five years.
“These projects range from borehole, renovation of schools, grading of roads, rural electrification projects, health centres, construction of town halls and many more. We can imagine the implication of the quantum projects and its social impacts on our environment, this apart from complementing the efforts of the government in infrastructure development.
“The idea is for these host communities to grow simultaneously along with the growth trajectory of OOP Plc in line with its new vision.”
“In this new journey, no one will be left behind as our host communities have been branded as critical stakeholders. We are also in the process of collating names of graduates with agriculture related courses as graduate trainees in OOP Plc.”, he added.
“Meanwhile, we are engaging schools’ authorities to help in career building to be able to achieve the local content initiative in terms of employment and business opportunities in the future.”
Also, we appeal to the land owners to be more transparent in their dealings with stakeholders across these host communities to forestall unwarranted aggression by stakeholders on account of lack of communication and transparency. “
