NCPC GEARS UP FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE 2025 DELAYED EASTER PILGRIMAGE EXERCISE TO ISRAEL AND JORDAN
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) is gearing up for the commencement of the 2025 delayed Easter Pilgrimage to Israel and Jordan. As part of the preparations for the Pilgrimage exercise, the Commission organised an in-house orientation program for all staff members to adequately prepare them mentally, physically, and operationally for the exercise.

Speaking at the orientation program, which took place on September 12, 2025, at the Commission’s Chapel in Abuja, the Executive Secretary of the NCPC, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, reiterated that the Commission was set to embark on another pilgrimage operation, specifically the delayed 2025 Easter Pilgrimage exercise, next week. In his words: “This is another operation and exercise in the presence of God.”

According to a statement by Celestine Toruka, the Deputy Director and Head of Media Relations, Bishop Adegbite explained that the greatest room in the world is the room of improvement and, as such, staff should be ready to learn as they work in the field with the pilgrims. He urged them to always put in their best in what they do, stating that “God is the rewarder of those that seek him diligently.” Bishop Adegbite challenged the staff to carry on the operation with a clear mind and give assistance to pilgrims who might need their help, especially the elderly.

He averred that he operates an open-door policy and, as such, his office is open to the staff, stating that he is the Chief Servant of the Commission, not a boss. He further explained that the 2025 delayed Easter Pilgrimage exercise consists of only four flights, after which the Commission will shift its attention to earnest preparation for the Main Pilgrimage exercise.

The NCPC boss, therefore, called on the Commission staff to ensure that all hands must be on deck to make the 2025 Main Pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan a huge success. Some Heads of Departments and Units presented papers.
