NCPC Chief Boss, Bishop Adegbite Visits Israel, Jordan …to commence airlift of intending pilgrims on 22nd December 2024

Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite has embarked on a working visit to Israel and Jordan over the 2024 Main Pilgrimage exercise scheduled to commence this month.

According to a report on the NCPC website, during the one-week visit, Bishop Adegbite held strategic meetings with relevant stakeholders at the Embassy of Nigeria in TEL- Aviv, Israel.

The meeting, according to the report, was attended by the Nigerian Ambassador to Israel, Mrs. Agatha Afoekelu, Embassy officials, ground handlers, and a representative of the air carrier.

According to the NCPC, the meeting provided an opportunity for Bishop Adegbite to assess the state of preparedness for the Main Pilgrimage Exercise on the part of the service providers and the Commission.

Bishop Adegbite also took time to tour some of the holy sites in Jerusalem, including the Wailing Wall, where he prayed for the success of the forthcoming pilgrimage and offered prayers for the prosperity of Nigeria, the good health of Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, and the well-being of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The NCPC boss also visited the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, claimed to be the burial site of Jesus Christ, even as he toured other holy sites, including churches of biblical importance to the pilgrimage exercise.

Following his strategic engagement in Israel, Bishop Adegbite proceeded to Amman, Jordan, where he met with the Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ayman Safadi, as well as the Nigerian Ambassador to Jordan, Amb. Kamfut Umaru.

Meanwhile, according to a statement by the commission’s Deputy Director and Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka, the Executive Secretary of the NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has announced that, “The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) will commence airlift of intending pilgrims to the Holy Land on 22nd December 2024.

Adegbite urged Christian pilgrims to the opportunity of the pilgrimage to pray for Nigeria and the leaders. He warns against absconding in Jerusalem.
