NCPC BOSS, Adegbite Pledges Support for Nigeria’s Unity
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has pledged his full support to every effort that will bring Nigeria together. He made this assertion while receiving the Executive members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Abuja and District Society in his office at the NCPC Corporate headquarters in Abuja.

Bishop Adegbite appreciated the ICAN executives for their visit and affirmed that ICAN is one of the integrity groups in Nigeria. He emphasized the importance of keeping records and accountability, linking it to Christian living, and stated that “one will account for his stewardship here on earth.”
According to a statement by Celestine Toruka, the NCPC boss highlighted the Commission’s commitment to training its staff in various areas of specialization to enhance service delivery and efficiency. He assured the ICAN executives of his support and collaboration, stating that “my assignment is beyond pilgrimage, it is also to preach peace, and without peace, there will be no progress.”
Bishop Adegbite further admonished Nigerians to work together to build a great nation, appreciating President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to make Nigeria a better nation.
The Chairman of ICAN, Abuja and District Society, Dr. Michael Okpara, congratulated Bishop Adegbite on his appointment and commended him for the successful completion of the 2024 Main pilgrimage exercise without hitches. Dr. Okpara solicited support for ICAN members who are staff of the Commission, particularly for sponsorship opportunities during their Annual Accountants Conference in October 2025.
