Late WATS Provost, Pastor Femi Martins Family Release Burial Plan

The family of the Provost of West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS), Ipaja, Lagos, Pastor Femi Martins  has announced the burial arrangements of the late theologian and academician.

According to information available to Providence, the family, a service of songs will be held at WATS Campus, Olukunle Akinola street, Akinyele, Ipaja, Lagos State on Wednesday 29, June at 3pm.

A wake in honour of the  former Chairman, Alumni Association of Yaba College of Technology is scheduled to be held on Thursday 30 June 2022 at the Emmanuel Unachukwu Hall, Alumni Complex of Yabatech campus at 4pm.

The body of Pastor Martins will be lie-in-state at the same hall on Friday 1st July, 2022 between 9am and 10:30am while a funeral service take place for the deceased at Hoares Memorial Methodist Cathedral, 321, Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba at 11am after which the remains will be interred at Atan cemetery, Yaba.

The information also stated that, there will be a reception for guest and well wishers at the Emmanuel Unachukwu Hall, Alumni Complex of Yabatech after the internment.

Pastor Femi Martins is survived by aged mother, wife, children, grandchildren, colleagues, family members and the seminary community he cherished so much to mourn him.

Pastor Martins, in his life journey encountered Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and savior.

He was a passionate Christian leader, Bible teacher, social reformer and down to earth disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ whom he dedicatedly and wholeheartedly served till his last days.

Martins, 67 joined WATS as a Communication Officer and rose to become the Provost of the seminary until his death.
