    GCM Celebrates 29th Anniversary Report by Peter Sukore

    GCM Celebrates 29th Anniversary

    Glory Christian Ministries (GCM) with it’s International headquarters in Lagos, due to Covid -19 policy, strictly celebrated her 29th year anniversary in a low key with evangelism, praises and thanksgiving.

    The two days kicked start on Sunday 7, March with praise service and the grand finale on Monday 8, March which is the founders day of the church whose ministry, practical and responsible Christianity (PRC) has become globally acknowledged and accepted brand; with varieties, word ministration, praises and thanksgiving.

    The church auditorium, Gloryland Dome was filled to capacity with members and invited guests fully comply and observes the Covid-19 rules and regulation put in place.

    The dome atmosphere and serene was captivating and alluring for the primary purpose to offer worship and thanksgiving service in thanking God for keeping and seeing the church through all these years without controversy or blemish, even in turbulent times.

    The congregation in excitement and enthusiasm mood

    The congregation was full of praise and testimonies of wondrous things God has been doing through the ministry in their personal lives.

    The church choir were at their best rendering soul touching and inspiring worship and thanksgiving songs to the admiration and excitement of the congregation, who are filled with enthusiasm, refreshment and passion that rented the air.

    The youth and children were not left out of the celebration as they enthusiastically displayed and showcased their God gifts, skills and talents in poetry, drama and songs.

    In his message during the celebration and thanksgiving, the founding pastor and general overseer of Glory Christian Ministries Int’l, Pastor Iruofagha James said, “One of the reason we mark this anniversary is to enable us take stock and make adjustments where necessary”.

    Pastor James, went on challenge the youths to take things of God and the affairs of the church more seriously, and carry the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever they find themselves in campuses, business arena, family circles, abroad and among friends.

    He said, “in 10 or 15 years from now most of us elders of the church will be sitting down and it would be the turn of the young men and women to stand here on the alter, take charge of the church affairs and preach the word of God”.

    Stating further, he said, “at GCM we have a desire to impact our membership with evangelistic dimensions and we love talking to people about Christ, in order to win souls for the kingdom of God”.

    Pastor James, urged, Christians that has never gone out for evangelism since becoming born again to wake up from slumber and catapult the good news of the gospel to people and the rest of the rest world anywhere they found themselves.

    PJ as fondly called, admonished members of the church wherever they are in Nigeria and around the world to continue promoting the church brand, PRC and not relenting in propagating the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    “Many have invested so much in making GCM a household name as ministry to the service of God. Therefore, you must be proud to be a good representative of this ministry”, he said.

    James, thanking God, compliments the board of trustees, pastors, deacons, elders, HoDs, workers and the entire members of the church, including those in diaspora for their steadfastness, diligent services and support to the growth of the ministry.

    Also feature during the celebration and thanksgiving was the pomp and pageantry that follow cutting of the anniversary cake and unveiling the 30th anniversary logo for year 2022.

    As father in the house, Pastor James finally made some heartfelt pronunciation and declaration on the congregation and pray for the entire members of the church around the world.
