Day My Husband Died, He Was in the Church, and Preach – Mother Success Okeke
Mother Success Okeke, the Senior Pastor of Unstoppable Ambassador Int’l Army Church, Surulere, Lagos, and the Supervisor, Judah Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of COGIC, exemplifies dedication and unwavering commitment to her faith.

Remarkably, she led the church in an annual thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 14, 2024, with a powerful message on ‘Reasons for Thanksgiving.’ Afterwards, she oversaw the distribution of food items to widows and the needy in the church.
In her message, Mother Okeke said, we don’t have any reason not to do what God asked us to do. Rather, we should do more and accomplish them because He owns our lives. Our prayer should be, God help me to be obedient to you.

I’m not influenced by anything, other than God’s word, even if my husband has died. “The same day my husband died, he went to church, preached and came back. We spoke together later in the day, not knowing that would be our last discussion. God knows everything, sees everything and watches over us. He allowed certain things to happen”, she bemoaned.

Unlike many, Mother Success Okeke remains unassuming yet resolute in her devotion to God and His service. Her demeanor is quiet, but her voice is loud when advocating for kingdom matters and responsible Christian living.
Humility defines her, yet she proudly stands as a daughter of Zion.

Unwavering in her pursuit of God, she serves as a mentor to numerous influential men and women of God in Nigeria.
In July, 2023, she endured the loss of her promising young son, Nnamidi Okeke, a distinguished officer in the Nigerian Army in his 40s. Despite her grief, she proceeded to receive some missionaries and embarked on a scheduled 3 days crusade and ministers’ conference, demonstrating unwavering faith before his burial, which was conducted with full military honors at the Ojo Military Cantonment.

Following the one-year anniversary of her son’s passing, her beloved husband and partner, Prof. Silvanus Okeke, passed away at 71 in the USA. A memorial service was held in Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday, December 13, 2024.

Praise God for granting her great grace and strength for a glorious life.
