The founding pastor and prophet of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide, Rev. Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa (1909–1985) was born and bred in Porto Novo (Republic of Benin) into a predominantly Muslim family of Yoruba extraction from Ogun State, a Nigerian who settled in Porto Novo.
